Reporting Student's Absence

Regular attendance is one of the strongest predictors of student success. When students attend school consistently, they benefit from daily instruction, classroom discussions, collaborative learning opportunities, and meaningful connections with their teachers and peers. Consistent attendance helps students build strong academic habits, stay engaged in their learning, and develop the skills needed for future success.

At our school, we recognize that there are times when students may be unable to attend due to illness, appointments, family circumstances, or other important reasons. In these situations, timely communication between home and school is essential. When families notify the school and classroom teachers about an absence, we can better support the student's learning, provide missed assignments or resources when appropriate, and ensure the student's well-being.

Strong partnerships between families and schools help students stay connected, even when they are away. We encourage parents and caregivers to contact the school as soon as possible when a student will be absent and to communicate directly with teachers regarding any extended absences or ongoing concerns.

By working together to support regular attendance and open communication, we create the best possible conditions for every student to learn, grow, and thrive.
